Blow Job
What is a Blow Job?
A blow job, also known as fellatio, is a term used to describe oral sex in which someone uses their mouth to sexually stimulate a penis. The direct opposite of a blow job is called cunnilingus and refers to when someone uses their mouth to sexually stimulate a vagina and clitoris.
Out of all types of oral sex (including rimming), the blow job is arguably the most common and publicly discussed.
Benefits of Blow Jobs
The obvious benefit of a blow job is that it feels good for the person receiving the blow job and, most times, for the person delivering the blow job. Surprisingly enough, licking someone’s penis has surprising health benefits, most of which relate to the ingestion of semen. These include:
- Better sleep (semen contains a chemical called melatonin, which induces sleep);
- Better memory (fueled by some other chemicals present in semen);
- Pain relief (semen contains pain-releasing endorphins and even oxytocin);
- Anti-aging (semen contains an anti-aging chemical known as spermidine).
Studies show that foreplay, not just blow jobs, can have a similarly beneficial impact on one’s health, so please make sure to let your partner know all about it next time he or she refuses to give you head!
How to Give a Great Blow Job
Giving head is an art form, so here are some quick tips on how to give a memorable blow job:
- Cover your teeth with your lips not to bite or hurt the penis;
- Use your hands, not just your mouth, to combine blow job and hand job (don’t forget about the testicles too);
- Focus on the most sensitive areas of the penis, such as the glans;
- Use deep-throating techniques to increase your partner’s pleasure;
- Plan for ejaculation and show enthusiasm to provide the perfect orgasm to your partner!
