What is a MILF?

MILF stands for Mother I’d Like to Fuck and is generally used to describe mature women who are perceived as sexually attractive. The term was popularized by Jennifer Coolidge’s character in the American Pie movie series, earning the actress the reputation of the original MILF.

MILFs shouldn’t be confused with cougars, even though many MILFs are also cougars. The difference is that, while MILFs are sexually desired by younger men, cougars are older women who are themselves attracted to younger men.

Are You a MILF?

Curiously enough, being a MILF is less about being an actual mother (some textbook MILFs don’t even have kids), and more about fitting into certain criteria. So, how do you know if you’re a MILF?

• You’re a MILF if you’re perceived as older than the person who wants to have sex with you;
• You’re a MILF if you’re more sexually experienced or authoritative;
• You’re a MILF if you’re both attracting and intimidating to your younger admirers;
• You’re a MILF if you have children but have maintained a hot look.

MILFs may be particularly appealing to young men who are starting their sexual journey because they act as sexual mentors. They’re also favored by men who like to be submissive in the bedroom.

Other Types of ILFs

Mothers aren’t the only people who qualify as ILFs. Here are some relatively popular variants:

• DILF (Dad I’d Like to Fuck): The direct opposite of a MILF;
• GILF (Granny I’d Like to Fuck): Grandmothers can be as hot as moms, and some men are fascinated with really older women;
• BILF (Boss I’d Like to Fuck): Having sex with your boss is almost always a bad idea, but that’s probably why some people find their bosses utterly sexy.

While incest roleplaying is relatively popular in the adult entertainment industry, MILFs have nothing to do with that: it’s not about having sex with one’s own mother, but about feeling attracted to women who are old enough to be mothers.
